Get ready to party till the sun goes down — and three hours after.

Bernheim Forest’s annual CONNECT event is headed to the Clermont arboretum Saturday, Aug. 16 from 6:34 p.m. until 11:34 p.m. — that’s exactly two hours before + three hours after sunset.

This year’s event will feature musical performances by five local artists and bands across two stages, an art stroll around Lake Nevin, and a silent disco, along with food trucks + wine, beer, and bourbon vendors.

Here’s who is on this year’s soundtrack:
  • DOOM GONG
  • Future Killer
  • No Dead Dogs
  • The Low Glow
  • Jameron
Advance tickets are available until Friday, Aug. 15 — $25 for Bernheim members and $30 for non-members. Pro tip: Kids 13 and under get in free.

VCs back startups for outsized returns. Regular people wait. But rule changes fixed that.

Take Revolut. In 2016, 433 people averaged a $2,370 stake. Today? That’s worth $1 million+, up 89,900%. No wonder 10,000+ people and the same VCs behind Uber and Venmo are taking the chance on Pacaso.

Founded by a former Zillow exec, they’ve earned $110 million+ in gross profit to date. They even reserved the Nasdaq ticker PCSO. Invest for $2.90/share.‡‡

The Wrap

Today’s edition by:

Last week, I went to the release concert for Wombo’s third album, “Danger in Fives,” at The Whirling Tiger. One of the openers was another Kentucky artist, Grace Rogers, and I haven’t been able to get her song “Salyersville” out of my head since. Do yourself a favor and give it a listen.
