In case you missed it, the Kentucky Science Center is slated to receive $150,000 in upgrades soon, courtesy the City of Louisville. The downtown staple will use the funding to level up its four-story digital theater with new seats + carpet, with work starting later this year.
Until then, here are a few ways we recommend enjoying an excursion to the local gem:
Spots are still available for some summer camps, including the Candy Chemistry camp from Monday, July 14-Friday, July 18 (grades 4-5) and LEGO® Engineering camp from Monday, July 21-Friday, July 25 (grades K-1).
The MakerPlace offers regular workshops — like the Kintsugi Suncatchers workshop on Saturday, July 12 + Saturday, July 26 — for kids age 8 and older to learn hands-on crafts.
Hit up the theater before it’s upgraded with upcoming showtimes including “Coral Sea 3D,” “Space: The New Frontier,” and “Cities of the Future 3D.”
