Any brunch place worth its salt will have a great chicken and waffles. | Photo by Big Bad Breakfast Big Bad Breakfast.
In this town, brunchin’ ain’t easy but it’s necessary. Whether you’re on the hunt for fluffy eggs, fried chicken and waffles or mind-blowing bloody marys, the options can get as overwhelming as the lines at times.

Note: All times listed are brunch-only.

Weekday wonders

Wild Eggs | Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m. + Saturday-Sunday, 7 a.m.-3 p.m. | This Kentuckiana (plus Ohio) eatery serves breakfast classics with a twist, like breakfast lasagna and the Yellow Submarine sandwich. Pro tip: Try their variety of eggs benedict, like the steak bennie or the vegetarian bennie.

Big Bad Breakfast | Daily, 7 a.m.-2:30 p.m. | A few of our must-trys? The Tabasco brown sugar bacon + the mother of all biscuits.

For a special occasion

Le Moo | Saturday-Sunday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. | This classic spot is synonymous with drag brunch as divas from across the region perform during a decadent brunch buffet — though Le Moo offers a less sparkly, non-drag brunch as well.

Pastry paradises

Wiltshire Pantry | Monday-Saturday, 7:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. + Sunday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. | Nosh on classic croissants and inventive seasonal treats + wash it down with a locally-roasted Good Folks espresso drink.

City Guides are presented by LouCity & Racing.
