Get ready to fill up your reusable shopping bags with fruits and veggies, Louisvillians.
In the spirit of supporting all things local, we’ve rounded up 17 farmers markets in the Greater Louisville area where you’ll find fresh food, live music, and local vendors, plus a relatively new farmers market in Louisville’s West End that re-launched last year following a 44-year hiatus.
Thanks to an anonymous $300,000 donation, the West Louisville Farmers Market in the California neighborhood is prepared to double its size for the 2025 season.
It opens this Sunday at 2339 Date St. and will operate other Sunday until Oct. 5.
Louisville-based nonprofit Change Today, Change Tomorrow which manages the twice-monthly market, says it’s the only farmers market in the city’s West End.
If you’re a local farmer or vendor + want to participate in the West End Market, you can still submit a vendor application through April 30. (WHAS)
