History
Calling all history buffs and “Hamilton” fans — the Louisville Historical League will celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Marquis de Lafayette’s visit to Louisville on Saturday, April 19. The free talk will be held at the Clark County Museum in Jeffersonville at 2 p.m.

Needed: green thumbs. Louisville Grows’ Seeds and Starts sale is seeking volunteers to greet shoppers, answer gardening questions, and move plants. The sales will be held Saturday, May 10 and Saturday, May 17. Bonus: Volunteers get a 10% discount.

The Louisville Zoo has a new resident. Bruce the cassowary is now on display in the Australia Zone. The 3-year-old bird moved to Derby City from a zoo in Texas. Fun fact: Cassowaries are one of the closest living relatives of the dinosaurs.
