Drink Up Week sponsored by Heine Brothers Coffee is finally here and we have a feeling it’ll be the toast of the town.

Here’s the tea — today through Friday, July 26, we’re celebrating the entrepreneurs, mixologists, venues, and beverages that make Louisville go ‘round.

As you know, we’ve created an interactive map of can’t-miss deals offered by local businesses in LOU. Here are the top deals our LOUtoday editors have their eyes on — and what they plan to pair with these drinks.

City Editor Declan has their eye on the 20% off online orders from Elixer Kombucha — that way they can stock up and make the drink up deals last. The core flavor pack includes pineapple ginger, lavender lemonade (City Editor Declan’s fave), blueberry pomegranite, and grapefruit hibiscus + orange peel. For a refreshing complement, try the raspberry limeade developed in collaboration with Heine Bros.

City Editor Jeff is after the toasted coconut coldbrew from Heine Bros., 50% off during all of Drink Up week. It’s available in cans or fresh-made by Heine’s expert baristas — so he can take it on the go.

We hope you enjoy sipping your way through our city this week. Cheers to you and happy Drink Up Week, Louisvillians.

This content is sponsored by Heine Brothers Coffee. As Louisville’s original coffee roaster since 1994, they take pride in the city just as much as the coffee.

Derby City is one of six cities in the running to become the new home of the Sundance Film Festival, which has been held in Park City, Utah since it began in 1985. Here’s the short list:
  • Home sweet home — Louisville, KY
  • Park City and Salt Lake City, UT
  • Atlanta, GA
  • Boulder, CO
  • Cincinnati, OH
  • Santa Fe, NM
Mayor Greenberg announced Louisville got the callback in a video on social media, citing the city’s history of hosting big events like the Kentucky Derby and Bourbon and Beyond.

Sundance started looking for alternative venues earlier this year, as its current contract with Park City, Utah is set to expire in 2027. Members of the Sundance Institute will pay a visit to LOU in the next few weeks to evaluate its infrastructure, ethos, and equity values.

The annual 10-day festival drew 86,824 film industry professionals + movie buffs to Park City last year — that’s about half a Kentucky Derby crowd.
