Sound the burger alarms — Louisville Burger Week is coming in hot next week, Monday, July 15-Sunday, July 21, with $7 burger specials from 45+ area restaurants and it only seems right considering that legend has it Derby City invented the cheeseburger in 1934.

So, say cheese (burger) Louisvillians, and get ready to get your eat on. This year’s menu boasts everything from classics to off-menu specialties. Here’s just a sample:

How it works

  • First, download the Burger Week app via the App Store or Google Play.
  • Dine in and check in at any of the participating restaurants to earn points.
  • Check in to four or more and you’ll be entered to win the grand prize of $250 in gift cards + an “Ultimate Grilling Package” from the Kentucky Beef Council.
  • The top points earner will be named the Biggest Burger Lover of Louisville and also win a $250 gift card package.
Pro tip: Be sure to follow the six Burger Week commandments found in the app, like remembering to tip like a pro + ordering other food and drinks to support your local businesses.
