Festival
The Crescent Hill 4th of July Festival returns this year on Thursday, July 4, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. at the Peterson Dumesnil House (301 S. Peterson Ave.). There will be live music, an art fair, food + beer booths, a cake baking contest, kids activities, and more, along with fireworks.
Drink
Mark your calendars, the NuLu Clash of Cocktails + Summer Fest is set for Tuesday, July 9 and Saturday, July 13. Local bartenders face-off at Galaxie (732 E. Market St.) for a tiki-inspired Tuesday cocktail competition, before the summer fest takes over three blocks of Market Street on Saturday, 12-7 p.m.

For years, young Louisvillians have made memories on Louisville Slugger Field’s carousel, and now you can take some of those memories home. The Louisville Bats are auctioning off the animals from their carousel, starting at $800. Make some room, yard gnome.

Louisville, it’s time to rev your engines. Cars in the Commons is set to pull into Norton Commons on Saturday, June 29.
From 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., get up close with ~400 eye-catching motor vehicles.
Here’s what to expect:
The streets of Norton Commons’ North Village Square will be lined with cars.
Something for everyone — the event will feature cars in multiple categories, including vintage and classic cars, track cars made for racing, European makes and models, + high-performance cars from Japan.
Winners of an online auction + raffle benefiting Norton Children’s Hospital will be announced. Details are still TBD.
The First Car Project will hand over the keys for new cars to two young adults who are new drivers.
The event is free to attend for spectators, you’ll just have to pay for the gas to get there.
Speaking of happy hours — Apron Inc., the nonprofit supporting service industry workers who have hit hard times, is hosting a happy hour of its own at Hauck’s Corner (1000 Goss Ave.) next Wednesday, June 26.
