• The Louisville Downtown Partnership unveiled a new strategy for the future of Louisville’s urban core. The action plans hope to adapt to post-pandemic work patterns and increase residential space. First steps include the creation of a Transitional Housing Investment Fund and a continued focus on infrastructure repair.

• A new bagel shop is set to open in the next few weeks in Schnitzelburg. Early Bird Bagels has been in the works for some time, but the owners plan to set a soft opening soon. The breakfast spot will offer bagels, sandwiches, and coffee + will share 1039 Ash St. with Six Forks Burger Company. (Louisville Business First)

• The Kentucky Derby has released its first-ever style guide. The 40-page e-book details the history of Derby fashion as well as the latest trends. Fashion journalist Zanna Roberts Rassi offers tips to dress your Derby best from head to toe — it’s fascinator-ing.

• Trees Louisville is offering free trees over the next three weeks, including redbuds + sycamores. On Satuday, March 30, 500 trees will be available 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at Churchill Downs. More trees will be available Saturday, April 6 at the Paristown Garden show + Saturday, April 13 at Petersburg Park.
