Amanda Dare, founder + CEO of Woman-Owned Wallet (WOW) in NuLu, rushes around her new content studio blowing air into a giant pink flamingo pool float. She’s inflating the decoration for the grand opening of her latest venture, WOW Factor Collective, which took place on Wednesday, Aug. 23.
Located across the street from the WOW gift shop at 822 E. Market St., the WOW Factor Collective is a flexible studio space + social media service agency. The goal of the new creative business is to bring the “wow factor” to events and social media.
Amanda painted the mural at the front of the studio.

What’s the “wow factor”?
Step inside, and you’ll see. Through the rainbow-filmed doors, the studio starts in a pink and green foyer. Acrylic paintings of influential women — think: Michelle Obama + “The Golden Girls” — hang in gold frames adjacent from a wall-to-floor mural based on a quote from Instagram influencer Elyse Myers. It reads: “Never too much & always enough.”
Rounding the corner, the space opens into an explosion of color. Pink and yellow tassels drape from the ceiling surrounded by a group of disco balls, plus a faux plant wall and a pink kitchen + a bedazzled bar.
“We coined it a party-in-a-box,” said Chief Operating Officer Adrienne Nixon. Every nook and cranny is designed to be functional and flexible for both events and content creation for small businesses + entrepreneurs. “That’s why we went with ‘collective’ in that we have a collection of different services and offerings for everyone who needs it,” Adrienne said.
Amanda and Adrienne made the lips in the kitchen by hand.
