  • Quills Coffee has a new location on Frankfort Avenue. It marks the eighth coffee shop for the regional chain whose footprint reaches as far as Indianapolis, IN. Quills’ new spot in Clifton is open seven days a week at 2100 Frankfort Ave. near Harvey’s restaurant and cheese shop.

  • Nothing tastes better than a comeback. Uplifted Life is reviving Taste of West Louisville after a three-year hiatus. The 21+ tasting event is on Sunday, June 11, 4-6 p.m. and will offer samples from local chefs and beverage businesses — including whiskey from IX Bourbon. Tickets start at $45.

  • Louisville Free Public Library’s annual Cultural Pass program starts on Thursday, June 1. The passport offers Louisvillians ages 0-21 free access to arts and culture activities at 50+ venues — like 21c Museum Hotel, the Kentucky Derby Museum, and Muhammad Ali Center — through Sunday, Aug. 6. Register at your local library or online.

  • The National Community Theatre Festival is coming to the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts Monday, June 12-Saturday, June 17 — and you don’t have to be involved in a community theater to attend.
