Let’s refresh: What is LOUtoday and what do we cover?

Greetings from Louisville
LOUtoday brings all things Derby City straight to your inbox. | Photo by LOUtoday
We know how difficult it can be to keep all of your local and national media outlets straight. Everywhere you turn, someone is publishing a story.

If you’ve ever found yourself wondering who we are here at LOUtoday, no worries. Allow us to reintroduce ourselves — from our mission of activating and educating Louisvillians to the editors who make it happen.

How it works

LOUtoday is a branch of our parent company, 6AM City. While there are 6AM City markets spanning the nation from Boston to Seattle, your LOUtoday newsletter is written by two locals — more on that later.

Let’s answer some FAQs:

Q: Is LOUtoday affiliated with the City of Louisville?
A: No. We share as much news about our city as possible, but we’re two independent entities.

Q: Who should I direct my feedback to?
A: Feedback is a gift; we’ll always take it. Email your thoughts any time.

Q: Why don’t I see any coverage of national news, crime and punishment, or politics in my newsletter?
A: Every media company is different. At 6AM City we choose to cover the most relevant, hyper-local news and events — focusing on city guides, civic conversations, new businesses, history, lifestyle, and food and drink. You can read more in our editorial ethics policy.

They know how to make smart money moves, and so do you. That’s why you’ll love this.

Masterworks is a platform that helps you invest in multi-million dollar art by names like Basquiat and Picasso — yep, the very same artists in their collections — for a fraction of the cost.

Not convinced? Masterworks investors enjoyed three recent sales where they earned 10.4%, 13.9%, and 35.0% net annualized returns — AKA real numbers, real returns.*

From the editor
I love a three-day weekend, but I’m honored to have veterans in my life — like my boyfriend and brother-in-law — to remind me about the true meaning of Memorial Day. If you’re looking for a way to commemorate the fallen, there will be nine hours of ceremonies and a parade in Covington, KY today.
