Answered

True or False: The term “little green men” was coined in Kentucky.

LOUtoday_graph

On Monday, we shared 9 Louisville mysteries — including a high-speed chase with a UFO — and quizzed you on whether or not Kentucky coined this famous nickname for aliens.

Out of 107 responses, 69 readers got the answer correct.

It’s true. The term ‘little green men’ was coined in the 1955 “Hopkinsville Goblin Case” where two rural families claimed they were terrorized in the middle of the night by apparent humanoids, described as 3-feet-tall with thin limbs, over-sized heads, and large pointy ears.
