Flower bouquets are a common Mother’s Day present, but if you want to give mom something long-lasting — aside from your love — we have a few ideas. Hit up these local businesses for a fun twist on this year’s gift.
If you insist on going the bouquet route, consider everlasting florals from Bloomed Roots. The dried and preserved florals start at just $15 and come as standalone bouquets, in vases, as wreaths, or as ornaments. And if you can’t make it into the store, you can order online and have it delivered.
Plants are Forage’s jam, and you’ll find everything from plant-of-the-month subscription boxes to shower steamer bouquets. Not sure exactly what to get your plant-loving momma? Consider a mystery bag full of plants, sustainable essentials + other gift items. Delivery is available, too.
Mahonia offers monthly classes for guests to practice yoga while surrounded by plants.
Frankfort Avenue’s new bar + plant shop has succulents, air plants, potted plants, and made-to-order plant gift boxes stuffed with wine and other goodies. You can even book a class so mom can make their own succulent dish garden or moss wall art. Not quite sure what would make the perfect plant present? There are gift cards available, too.
