A new sushi restaurant has hit the South Louisville scene. Yummi Yummi Sushi offers a variety of sushi rolls including raw fish, deep-fried, and vegetarian options. The spot is now open at 7131 Southside Dr. — formerly occupied by Penguin Point. 🍣 (Louisville Business First)
Development
New businesses could be coming to Waterfront Park. An ordinance was proposed at Metro Council last week that would change the land development code, allowing at least 13 new uses of the space — including recreation, galleries, and breweries. The ordinance could be approved as soon as the next meeting tomorrow. 🏢 (The Courier-Journal)

Construction on Biscuit Belly’s fourth location in Middletown has begun. The brunch spot will join its biscuit brethren currently located in St. Matthews, NuLu, and Colonial Gardens. No opening date has been set, but the restaurant will take over the former Yang Kee Noodle spot at 13301 Shelbyville Rd. (WDRB)

Louisville Metro Council may change property tax rates. The rate for residents in suburbanJefferson County is expected to lower while those in the Urban Services District may see their property tax rates increase. The council could approve the ordinance in its meeting tomorrow. 💰 (WFPL)

One of the forest giants at Bernheim Arboretum is now a star. Check out Netflix’s “Lost Ollie” created by Shepherdsville resident Shannon Tindle.
