• Local indie artist, Piper Madison, released her sophomore album, “How Do I Love?” on Wednesday. Piper wrote, recorded + co-produced the project in town. The 10-track album runs a little longer than 36 minutes. Our favorite track is, “I Found You.” 🎶 (WFPL)

• Athelo Health has been selected as Venture Sharks’ winner for its 2021 Business Pitch Competition. The software-as-a-service (SaaS) based digital platform seeks to improve outcomes for cancer patients and was awarded $5,000. • Louisvillian Sarah Poppelreiter Trace is the winner of WDRB and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s 2021 Dream Home. The prize is part of a greater fundraising effort for the hospital, which raised a record-breaking $700,000 this year. The 3 bed, 2-and-a-half bath home sits in the Sanctuary Bluff neighborhood. • The Belknap Neighborhood Association is hosting Loop Fest this weekend in celebration of local businesses and residents in Douglas Loop. Festivities begin tonight from 6-10 p.m. and pick up again Saturday from 3-10 p.m. The fall street party will include live music, food and drink + dancing.

• Calling all lovers of fine smoked fish. A local smoked salmon company, Sinclair Smoked Salmon, goes through an average of 200 lbs of salmon in sales each weekend since it opened on May 1. The business operates Fri.-Sun. at 2208 Dundee Rd.

• Have you been watching “Squid Game”? We saw this funny meme on Instagram of the hit show’s first challenge, Red Light Green Light, with Colonel Sanders. Instead of the animatronic doll signaling for players when to stop and go, Col. Sanders stands in her place.
