Prepare to be charmed ✨

It’s easy to get lost in a daydream strolling past the Victorian houses that make up Old Louisville or driving past the magical Tudor-style homes in the Belknap neighborhood. We love the charming homes that make up Derby City and we’re willing to bet you do too — so today we’re opening the door to four charming homes for sale right now in the 502.

From a blue house with stained glass windows to a rustic, shaker sided home with peach bathroom tiles, these properties are sure to put a sparkle in your eye + a warm feeling in your heart.

🏡 2015 Lauderdale Rd., Highlands Douglass | $499,000

Built in 1920, this recently remodeled 2,031-sqft, two-story house has four bedrooms and one-and-a-half baths + the quaint, privacy-fenced backyard is begging for a wine party, which we’ll be patiently waiting for an invitation to.

Why it’s charming: If the white stucco exterior isn’t enough, let the rounded windows, red door, and mature shrubbery draw in your eye and wallet.

🏡 3129 Teal Ave., Camp Taylor | $389,900

The natural light of this 2,414-sqft, three-bedroom home is enough to dazzle, but it also features new wood floors, french doors throughout, and a large patio for entertaining or turning into a secret garden.

Why it’s charming: You have to see this white brick fireplace, but we’re also loving the built-in, glass door cabinets and terracotta colored entryway flanked by stepping stones that lead to the rounded front door.

POST OF THE DAY

Throwback Thursday

Instagram

📸 @whatthelou

I wear your grandad’s clothes. I look incredible. The clothes may be vintage, but thrifting never gets old and you can’t miss What The Lou’s bright blue, 1990s-themed exterior.

This week, keep an eye on the Goss Avenue vintage shop’s Instagram for a selection of hand-picked throwback pieces (we love the toy car earrings + Pearl Jam tee) or stop in, it’s open daily from 12-8 p.m.

THE WRAP

Editor’s pick: I didn’t grow up in Louisville.

I grew up in Southern Indiana and asking “where did you go to high school” isn’t a thing there like it is here, but asking “do you remember The Wulfe Bros.?” is.

The three-piece band starred in assemblies across Kentuckiana and were the most anticipated event of every school year. That’s why I’m saddened to hear that founding member of the Louisville group, Paul Cunningham, died Tuesday afternoon. Thanks for keeping my childhood school days full of entertainment, Paul.
