No Thanksgiving spread is complete without festive treats, so we’re dishing out five local bakery’s holiday specialties sure to wow the crowd.

Plus, a few options on where to carry out or dine in for Thanksgivingif cooking isn’t your thing.

🥧 Bae’s Bakery, 1164 S. Brook St.

This Old Louisville bakery’s holiday menu — aka Baekesgiving — includes a mini cookie party platter, mini choux au craquelin platter (a crispy cream puff), ready-to-eat and take-and-bake cinnamon rolls.
Pick up: Tuesday, Nov. 22, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Wednesday, Nov. 23, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

🥧 Smør Nordic Bakeri, 3797 Poplar Level Rd.

Wow your family and friends with a speciality treat from Louisville’s only Scandinavian bakery. We’re talking (and hopefully eating) spicy Nordic ginger snaps, butternut squash pie, glogg kake, and hot toddy meringues.
Pick up: Tuesday-Saturday, 8 a.m.-2 p.m.

🥧 La Pana Bakery, 1001 Logan St.

Pre-order a vegan pumpkin chocolate chip loaf, pumpkin pie, or both before tomorrow — they’re made from a family recipe.
Pick up: Tuesday, Nov. 22, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the window

Snag a dozen bright orange, pumpkin-shape sugar cookiesiced or sprinkled — for $20 + snag a hot box of joe while you’re there for after dinner coffee.

Louisvillian Melanie Fischer started the artisan popcorn company in 2018 with a family recipe for sweet and spicy popcorn.   • A $75 million hotel and apartment complex has been proposed for a five-acre lot off of Factory Lane in the East End. The project, dubbed Factory Pointe, will include two, 60,000-sft hotels + 70 luxury apartments with a heated pool, dog park, golf simulator, and more onsite. (Louisville Business First)

  • $1 million. That’s how much money the Trager family has pledged to UofL’s Christina Lee Brown Enviorme Institute.   • Derby City was recertified as a Certified Welcoming city by Welcoming America, a national nonprofit leading a movement of inclusive communities and Mayor Greg Fischer celebrated the achievement earlier this week at the South Central Regional Library. Only five US communities achieved the status, which was announced in October.
